(NYSE: ESNT) announced today that it has been included in the Russell 2000® Index after the equity markets closed on December 20, 2013, following Russell Investments' quarterly update for initial public offerings. Essent's common shares began trading on the New York Stock Exchange on October 31, 2013. The Russell 2000 Index measures the performance of the small-cap segment of the U.S. equity universe. It is also a subset of the Russell 3000® Index. Additionally, Essent announced today that it has been invited by the New York Stock Exchange to ring The Opening Bell® on December 23, 2013.
